Exotic Beauty

Anthurium plants come originally from Central and South America. There are now hundreds of varieties available, both large and small. Elegant and poised with slender stalks, heart shaped shiny leaves and waxy, shield-shaped bracts or flowers, the anthurium (or flamingo plant) is ideal for modern settings. Because it comes from the tropics it needs warm and humid conditions to thrive. Keep it damp from spring to autumn, but water less in winter.

Anthuriums belong to the same family as the peace lily, but unlike the peace lily, their spathes come in a variety of colours.
