Delicate textures are what this arrangement is all about. The rough wicker vase, resting on a bed of fluffy grass, and holding more loose sprays of the same grass. A bed of spotted guinea-fowl feathers covers floral foam, holding four stems of red-hot poker in place. These have been arranged so that the tips of the flowerspikes touch, creating an enclosure. Ears of ornamental corn - available in reds, browns and blacks, as well as yellow - would look just as striking substituted for the red hot pokers; and soft grey-green Spanish moss (Tillandsia) could take the place of the feathers.
